2017 Zhuhai 6th International Chinese Tennis Charity Exchange Tournament The 2017 Zhuhai 6th International Chinese Tennis Charity Exchange Tournament, jointly organized by Zhuhai Huafa Sports Operations Management Co., Ltd., the International Chinese Tennis Federation (ICTF), the Zhuhai Tennis Promotion Association, and Beijing Yunyihui Sports Culture Development Co., Ltd., was grandly held at the Zhuhai Hengqin International Tennis Center from November 2nd to 6th, 2017. This prestigious event invited 16 overseas Chinese tennis teams and regional tennis clubs from Beijing, Zhuhai, and various provinces and cities across China, with a total of 160 players participating in the tournament. After three days of intense competition: 🏆 Guangdong Dongguan Middle School Alumni Xuechuang Team won the Championship 🥈 Zhuhai Tennis Promotion Association won the Runner-up title 🥉 Australia Jintong Tennis Club won Third Place Ms. Lucy Chen-Jin, Chairwoman of the International Chinese Tennis Federation, attended the Opening Ceremony as both an honored guest and participating player. Mr. Ji Ming, General Manager of Zhuhai Huafa Sports Operations Management Co., Ltd., and Ms. Li Yunhui, Chairwoman of Beijing Yunyihui Sports Culture Development Co., Ltd., also attended the Opening Ceremony as distinguished guests and jointly promoted this international charity exchange event. This tournament was not only a high-level international Chinese tennis exchange event, but also an important combination of charity, sports, and cultural exchange. During the tournament, various charity activities were organized alongside the matches and viewing events. On November 4th, 2017, a grand charity donation ceremony was held at the Huafa Tennis Center. Distinguished guests attending the ceremony included: • Mr. Jose Miguel Garcia, Tournament Director of the WTA Elite Trophy Zhuhai • Ms. Chen Weiguang, President of the Zhuhai Women and Children Welfare Association • Ms. Li Yunhui, Chairwoman of Beijing Yunyihui Sports Culture Development Co., Ltd. • Ms. Lucy Chen-Jin, Chairwoman of the International Chinese Tennis Federation During the ceremony, Ms. Li Yunhui and Ms. Lucy Chen-Jin, representing all participating teams, donated RMB 16,000 to the Zhuhai Women and Children Welfare Association. All funds were dedicated to supporting the “1st Zhuhai Young Artists Painting Competition,” further promoting tennis participation and tennis culture among young people. During the tournament, the organizing committee also arranged for all participating teams to watch the WTA Elite Trophy Zhuhai matches and visit Zhuhai’s famous attractions, including the Zhuhai Opera House (Sun Moon Shell), Chimelong Ocean Kingdom, and the New Yuan Ming Palace. Participants also enjoyed local Zhuhai cuisine, allowing overseas Chinese players from around the world to experience the modern charm and cultural beauty of this coastal city. Throughout the event, Zhuhai Television conducted live coverage and special interviews with Ms. Lucy Chen-Jin, Chairwoman of the International Chinese Tennis Federation, and Ms. Li Yunhui, Chairwoman of Beijing Yunyihui Sports Culture Development Co., Ltd., further expanding the social influence and international visibility of the International Chinese Tennis Charity Exchange Tournament. The tournament embraced the spirit of: “Friendship Through Tennis, Charity Together, Connecting Chinese Worldwide,” further promoting global Chinese tennis cultural exchange, charity development, and international friendship.
