“Kunming’s spring city — where tennis meets culinary heritage.”

The 2018 Kunming “Fuzhaolou · Beetle Cup” 9th International Chinese Tennis Invitational Tournament was exclusively title-sponsored by Kunming Fuzhaolou Catering Group and strongly supported by the famous “Fuzhaolou Steam Pot Chicken,” a renowned brand featured on CCTV-2’s documentary series A Bite of China. Lucy Chen-Jin, President of the International Chinese Tennis Federation (ICTF), attended the Opening Ceremony as both an honored guest and player. Mr. Yu Haoran, Chairman of Kunming Fuzhaolou Catering Group Co., Ltd., attended as an Opening Ceremony guest, while Ms. Zhang Jin, Vice President of ICTF and President of Beetle International Tennis Club, attended as both guest and player. Mr. Yu Haoran and Ms. Zhang Jin, husband and wife business partners, have jointly established more than ten restaurant chain stores in Kunming. Their group has been recognized as one of “Yunnan’s Best Catering Groups” and received the “Provincial Governor’s Nomination Award for Young Entrepreneurship.” In 2024, both parties once again formed a golden partnership and successfully co-hosted the 14th International Chinese Tennis Invitational Tournament in Sydney. Kunming in September, famously known as the “Spring City,” welcomed guests with blooming flowers, warm sunshine, blue skies, and pleasant spring-like weather all year round. With its breathtaking natural scenery, rich historical landmarks, and colorful ethnic culture, Kunming provided the perfect setting for the grand staging of the 2018 Kunming “Fuzhaolou · Beetle Cup” 9th International Chinese Tennis Invitational Tournament. This was the very first time the International Chinese Tennis Federation brought an international tournament to Yunnan, creating a brand-new tennis event with strong international elements for the province. A total of 16 tennis clubs and more than 140 players from the United States, Australia, Canada, Vietnam, Myanmar, Singapore, as well as Beijing, Xinjiang, Fuzhou, Shanghai, Inner Mongolia, and Yunnan gathered at the Yunnan Hongta Sports Center for three days of exciting competition.
