4th International Chinese Tennis Invitational Tournament
From August 23rd to 26th, 2017, the 4th International Chinese Tennis Invitational Tournament was grandly held in Beijing, China. The tournament was exclusively title-sponsored by Beijing Craftsmanship Wheel International Tennis Center Co., Ltd., and jointly organized by the International Chinese Tennis Federation (ICTF), the International Chinese Women’s Tennis Association, and Beijing Craftsmanship Wheel International Tennis Center Co., Ltd. The event was co-organized by Beijing Jinyun Electrical Decoration Co., Ltd. and Beijing Jinyun Tennis Club.
Ms. Lucy Chen-Jin, Chairwoman of the International Chinese Tennis Federation, attended the Opening Ceremony as both an honored guest and participating player. Special guests also included Mr. Carlos Rodriguez, the legendary Argentine tennis coach who formerly coached Justine Henin, Li Na, and Zheng Qinwen; Ms. Ding Ding, Chairwoman of Craftsmanship Wheel and Honorary Chairwoman of the International Chinese Women’s Tennis Association; and famous Chinese singer Ms. Huang Qishan, who also participated in the tournament activities.
A total of 20 overseas Chinese tennis teams and nearly 200 elite Chinese tennis players from around the world were invited to compete. After three days of exciting and intense competition, Beijing Jinyun Tennis Club won the championship title, Fujian Rongshuchun Tennis Club claimed the runner-up position, and the Beijing-Tianjin-Harbin Haimeida Tennis Team earned third place.
Tennis enthusiasts from around the globe gathered in Beijing to build friendships through tennis, strengthen cultural exchange, and unite the global Chinese tennis community. The tournament successfully created a platform of health, happiness, friendship, and international cultural connection.
Following the tournament, the organizing committee arranged sightseeing tours for overseas participants to visit Beijing’s most famous historical and cultural landmarks, including the Forbidden City, the Badaling Great Wall, Tiananmen Square, the Summer Palace, the Bird’s Nest, the Water Cube, and Wangfujing Street.
As one of China’s most historically rich and culturally significant cities, Beijing impressed international participants with its magnificent imperial architecture, ancient Great Wall heritage, and vibrant modern city atmosphere. The event received high praise and enthusiastic recognition from overseas Chinese communities worldwide.
